Recovery Bingo

$4.99

A printable group tool for reflection, skill recognition, and connection in recovery spaces.

I created Recovery Bingo while facilitating substance use groups and realizing that sometimes engagement needs a little structure to get started. Recovery work can feel heavy, and not every session needs to begin with “go deep.” This tool offers a familiar format that lowers the barrier while still inviting meaningful reflection.

Using the structure of bingo, participants respond to prompts connected to coping skills, lived experiences, and recovery growth. The game element creates safety. The conversation creates depth.

How It Can Be Used

I’ve used this tool:

  • As an icebreaker in new groups

  • To re-energize sessions that feel flat or guarded

  • To reinforce coping skills in IOP settings

  • In alumni workshops as a way to reflect on progress without forcing vulnerability

It works especially well when you want participation without putting anyone on the spot.

A Note on Use

This is a structured facilitation tool designed to support recovery-focused spaces. It’s not a replacement for therapy, but it can meaningfully support engagement within it.
